Kitty Schneider is an artist jeweller trained at Stellenbosch University and in Barcelona,Spain in Goldsmithing techniques. She has exhibited Nationally and Internationally for 30 years. A speciality is redesigning old jewellery into new and personally designing unique wedding rings. Kitty also creates her own collection of once-off pieces which are collected by many people with an eye for her very origional, once-off art jewells. All her work is techinally well made with a reverance for the dying tradition of hand-made jewellry pieces such as Faberge's Eggs. Her love for colour led her to study glass enammelling which she uses in her jewellery alongside suitable metals and stones.
Kitty Schneider also paints water colours of Southern Free State landscapes with a "Surrealistic" touch. These started as designs for her enamels but soon progressed into paintings in their own right.
Visit Kitty for an amazing view into her work including the quirky building of her house and organic garden, burglar bars hand made from her drawings made by forged steel into cats, fishes, birds and flowers, and her 'surrealistic' watercolours.
